Q: How often do I need to clean the analyzer?

A: The DiaScreen 50 Urine Chemistry Analyzer should be cleaned on a daily basis. At the end of the day, simply wipe down the test strip tray with a Kimwipe or cotton swab and distilled water. To thoroughly clean and disinfect the test strip tray, you may use Isopropul alcohol (70-85%) or household bleach - dilute 1 ml of 5% sodium hypochlorite solution in 99 ml of water to acchieve 1:100 diluiton (.05% sodium hypochlorite solution)

A: No. You must use DiaScreen Reagent Strips for Urinalysis with the DiaScreen 50 Analyzer.
